Average Adoption Fees: $70 dogs, $50 cats (some animals will be less and some will be more based on age and breed) For exact pricing, visit the adoption page and view each specific animal.

Spay/Neuter Surgery
Vaccinations
Micro-chip & Registration
I.D. Tag
Health Check Certificate (good up to 10 days)

At times the adoption fee will be discounted based on a promotion being offered. As well, some animals depending on breed and age may have a higher adoption fee. (puppies, purebreds, exotic birds, etc.) All adoption fees are stated per each animal online and on their animal data sheet.

Hours of operation:

10 am to 6 pm Monday - Saturday
10 am to 2 pm Sunday

During the COVID-19 reopening process, appointments are highly recommended for all services including to just look at the animals. Our lobbies are limited to 10 guests maximum at a time. Guests who have made an appointment will have priority over people who visit without an appointment. To make an appointment call 386-274-4703.

As of 4/3/2020 HHS will be closed to the public until further notice due to the stay at home order issued by the state.

Due to the recent Stay at Home order issued by the state effective on 4/3/2020 Halifax Humane Society is closed to the public. This applies to all HHS facilities including the Culler Boarding, Grooming, & Travel Center, the Redinger Spay/Neuter Clinic, the public dog park, and the HHS Thrift Store. We plan on being closed until the order is lifted on April 30th or until further notice.

Surgeries available by appointment only. Please call to schedule a time for your pet.
