Fur Ball is the gala of the year! Held every December at the Ocean Center, Fur Ball hosts over 600 animal enthusiasts for a 4-course dinner, live music and dancing, several full-service bars, and the infamous Chocolate Lounge. All proceeds support our community's animals.
Mutt Strutt is the only day of the year pets are allowed on the World's Most Famous Beach! Each April, thousands of people come to the Daytona Beach Band Shell to experience the oceanfront with their best friend. A friendly competition to see which team can raise the most money for the animals is always exciting. Live music and lots of fun for all.
Ruff Ride Poker Run for the Animals occurs twice a year. Once during Bike Week and once during Biketoberfest. Bikers from around the world participate in this poker run to five different locations in Volusia County. The ride concludes at the Iron Horse Saloon for a barbecue dinner and award presentations.
Dog Park on Ice occurs twice a year. Once in January (A Luau in January theme) and in July (Christmas in July theme). There is a costume contest for both dogs and humans. The dogs love to get on the ice.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a independent run event that has designated Halifax Humane Society as the sole beneficiary of all proceeds. The inaugural event was in 2018 and raised over $12,000 for HHS. The organizers will hold this event annually.
