Port Orange has two major events each year. Port Orange Spring Fest in April and Port Orange Family Days in October. Both events are very well attended and we typically adopt out at least 10 animals per event.
Celtic Festival in Ormond Beach at the Casements is an annual festival celebrating Celtic heritage. Always a great turnout. We participate each year unless our Mutt Strutt event is the same as it was in 2019.
We participate at the Spring and Winter Turkey-Run held at the International Speedway.
Yappy Hours are a fun evening to visit a new location with your dog. 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at a restaurant that offers 2 drink tickets and light appetizers for just $15.00 and gives all of the proceeds to HHS. Recent locations have been Downwind Cafe, Bistro 424, La's Bistro, Mellow Mushroom, and Hard Rock Hotel.
Other events- We will come out with our adoption trailer (depending on the size of the event) or we will bring out with our ambassador dogs, Max and/or Bentley to smaller events like pet food drives, grand openings, assisted living facilities, schools, libraries, etc. Contact our Community Outreach Director to see if we are available for your next event.
